Two University of Auckland Students Received Academic Prize
Sylvie Adelaide Gillman Myers and Christopher Bryan Leyland of University of Auckland received the Local Government Careers Academic Prize.
The Local Government Careers Academic Prize is an initiative under the Recruitment & Retention programme aimed at building relationship among tertiary providers and generating awareness among tertiary students about careers in local government.
SOLGM Northern Branch President Phil Wilson represented SOLGM and the local government sector at the awarding ceremony in University of Auckland.
‘This was a wonderful opportunity to raise the profile of local government with the students," said Phil.
Sylvie and Christopher received $1500 each for achieving outstanding marks for their Civil Engineering Papers.
